
Important Medication and Skin Care Guidelines for Waxing
For your safety and to ensure the best waxing experience, we ask that you inform us if you are using any of the following medications or skincare treatments. These can make your skin more sensitive and increase the risk of irritation or skin lifting during waxing.
If you are currently using any of these prescription medications, please wait at least 3 months before waxing.
Accutane requires a minimum of 1 year off before waxing:

Exfoliants (must be stopped at least 1 week before waxing)
Important Skin Care Considerations:

Wait at least 7 days after a light chemical peel or microdermabrasion before waxing.

You cannot be waxed if you’ve had laser skin resurfacing within the last year.

If you’ve had a physician-administered peel within the past 2 years, you’ll need to wait before waxing.

Sunburned skin and irritated areas (such as rashes, fresh piercings, or acne breakouts) cannot be waxed.
Factors That Make Skin More Prone to Lifting:
These factors can also affect how your skin reacts to waxing:

Blood-thinning medications Medications for autoimmune diseases or Lupus

Prednisone or steroids Psoriasis, eczema, or other chronic skin conditions

Recent cosmetic or reconstructive surgery

Recent laser skin treatments

Severe varicose veins

Rosacea or very sensitive skin

History of cold sores or fever blisters (waxing may trigger a flare-up)

Use of hydroquinone
